Theodore Laskaris
Ordo Xenos

Current Location - Deceased, Killed in Imperial Service
Theodore Laskaris was unaffiliated with any particular Ordo for the first half of his career, before an unknown event convinced him that the xenos threat was Askellon's most urgent priority. Often seen as a cynical man, he has nonetheless zealously persecuted those he found guilty of defiling the purity of the Imperium with heretical thought or xenos influence. With a background in the Astra Militarum and Imperial Guard it may come as a surprise that much of his early work involved the investigation and subsequent purge of many members of those same institutions, however, his previous experience made him quite proficient a navigating the byzantine facets of the military machine.
Picture
Aware of the importance of public faith in the military, most of these episodes would be carefully covered up with only those on the scale of the infamous execution of the entire 130th Junoese being brought to the light of day. A stalwart Amalathian, Laskaris believes that maintaining the Imperium's security and status quo is the Inquisition's primary obligation. Change always plays into the hands of the Ruinous Powers and progress is an illusion promoted by its agents. The Inquisitor may be too much of a realist to hope for the God-Emperor's return, but if he does come back to save his people, Laskaris would have him find things as close to how he left it as possible.
Inquisitor Theodore Laskaris was killed by an unidentified warp denizen (Classification: Mallus Extremis) during a demonic incursion aboard the the Imperial battleship The Light of Lamaea. His sacrifice bought the time needed for the battleship to escape the warp storm behind the incursion. His acolytes, survivors of the demonic attack, found themselves in the employ of his long-time friend, Inquisitor Sobel, after Laskaris's death.
